Tennessee Waltz-here is my dobro arrangement of a popular country song that suits the instrument well. It contains a few slant positions that require a bit of practice, but otherwise, it is a beautiful melody that needs to be played with emotion and feeling. Here it's in the key of C

June Apple is a fiddle tune that is not often seen to be played on the Dobro. Here is my arrangement in the key of G, so you need to put a capo on the 2nd fret if you want to play with a fiddler in the key of A.

Two Friends

Two Friends-a tune recorded by Jerry Douglas and Béla Fleck on Jerry's Under the Wire album from 1986.
My good friend, amazing Catalan banjo player Lluís Gómez and I are big fans of Jerry/Béla duets. We prepared this tune for a concert that we did for students of our simultaneously running dobro/banjo Brussel's Workshop in 2022.

Greensleeves

Greensleeves is a traditional English song. Christmas lyrics were later associated with the song, among the others the most famous one is What Child is This. Eighter way here is my Dobro arrangement in the key of B minor and I think it suits to the tune well. Check it out.

Faded Love

Faded Love-a sentimental Bob Wills song naturally suits the resonator guitar (Dobro) for its haunting melody and good playability. Here is my arrangement in the key of D. I prepared it for the intermediate players, but this piece should be in the vocabulary of every Dobro player.

Old Joe Clark

Old Joe Clark - is relatively easy to play Dobro break in the key of A without the capo. I like the sound of the G chord without the capo instead the F as played with the capo. Give it a try.

Mountain Slide

Mountain Slide is my tribute to great Mike Auldridge. He recorded this piece on his solo album named "Mike Auldridge". The tuning used here is EBDgbd. I always liked the haunting melody of this and I thought you might like it too. Lots of essential techniques are in use here.

Bud’s Bounce

Bud’s Bounce - a country swing tune recorded by Mike Auldridge on the album Mike Auldridge and Old Dog. I always liked this one so here it is. The tune is in the key of F and is not that easy to play but it contains lots of Mike’s essential techniques so pay attention to the details.

Ride the Wild Turkey. A Jerry Douglas "tour de force" written by Darol Anger and recorded on Jerry's Slide Rule album. Though it might be not precisely played note by note I hope the essence is there. Enjoy!
